so they've laid eggs quite a few times, but never managed to keep them long enough to hatch. they'd get fungused, or another fish would sneak in and eat em, or something...this batch, however, should be hatching today. the eggs have visible eyeballs. they seem to have perfecting their egg tending, and as time goes by they seem more and more protective of this spawn. that'd make sense, considering that their value increases with the amount of time spent on them...but i wonder what will happen when they hatch. these angels have not yet seen wigglers. will they eat them? have no idea what's happened to them? i really dont know.

this male seems a lot more intelligent than others i've had. probably because he's closer to wild type. odds are the spawn won't make it to free swimming. but who knows, maybe with some practice, this pair can actually get a successful hatch.
