Today, while working on a particular problem, I had an idea for what could be an interesting Programming Fun Challenge. I'm not going to reveal what it is just yet, but I've got some preliminary questions for anyone who might be interested.

Ok, folks. I have but seven questions for you. Mr. Queue's not been around for a while, so I'm taking it upon my own shoulders to be nosey in his stead (instead of in his shed; there's not much to see there; I've checked).

Seven questions centering loosely around the theme of 'The Greatest', or extremes.

Long ago, some of us mooted the possibility of a fight to death using nothing but predictive skill, knowledge and time commitment. Over the course of the past year, those mighty warriors who displayed exemplary ability in these skills have persevered to win the day.

It may have come to certain of our members' attention that, with the defeat of our Association Football collective at the hands of the Tsarists, England are in grave danger of not qualifying for next year's European Championships in the Austro-Swissenland.

In this brief pamphlet, we seek to advance the thesis that this may, in fact, be no bad thing.

Yet again, it's time to dip into the bulging mailbag and see what our devoted listeners have sent us this week.

Most of you, I imagine, are familiar with the popular brand of Kentucky straight bourbon known as Jim Beam.

Dr H0ffm4n gave me a friendly nudge-reminder that some of us had discussed setting up a fantasy football (socker) league last week or so.

I had a look at the Premier League's official version, but it seemed a little invasive (they want real names and addresses and such). However: Yahoo have started running theirs again, so I took the liberty of creating a group there. There are no grand prizes for winners -- it's just for fun -- but that kinda seems more HuSi-ish to me anyway. The rules are new on me, although seem straightforward, but I'm sure we'll succeed in making a reet royal hash of it regardless.
